Entering the Blog-o-Sphere

Well, for sometime now I have been thinking about blogging. My friend, The Church Lady, has been blogging for awhile now, and she has told me how much fun she has blogging and that I should try it, so here I am, intrepidly entering the "Blog-o-Sphere.

People these days have opinions about everything. Not that people longer ago didn't have opinions about "stuff," but we were taught that it was best if we kept our opinions to ourselves. In fact, I, personally, have been told to keep my opinions to myself. . . You can see why I am a little afraid of this blogging thing. But the trend nowadays is to express yourself. It is a brave new world. We know "stuff," and by golly we owe it to each other to share our "deep thoughts" and "profound knowledge" with each other. So, I'm thinking that I am being irresponsible if I don't get on the ball and create my own informative blog.

Now here's the rub. I'm sitting here at my computer trying to think of something intelligent to share with the world, and I can't think of a darn thing.

On The Church Lady's page I saw pictures of people's favorite rooms--not that I don't have a favorite room, it's just that I'd have to clean it before I take a picture, and I don't feel like cleaning. I feel like blogging. The most exciting thing I've done this week is bowl in our Sunday night church league. I bowled a 393 series. This is the 7th year for our church bowling league and I didn't bowl any better Sunday night than I did 7 years ago.

Yesterday I made Cream of Broccoli and Beer Soup and Swedish Corn Bread. I took the dogs out (we have two cock-a-poo somethings)--not just once, but a bunch of times. I crocheted a couple of rows on a baby bib, I ate several helpings of Cream of Broccoli and Beer soup and a multiple hunks of corn bread. The Church Lady has lost weight and she looks fabulous. I would like to lose weight and I was thinking a lot about her as I ate my corn bread and soup. (I'm sorry Church Lady--I really am happy for you).

Well, I guess that's it for this blog. I just want to leave everyone with at least one profound thought and here it is: "I think it will be a nice day, if it don't rain."

Bye for now,

Sassy

  1. Well hellooooo Sassy! That is something I didn't know about you! And now that you are blogging, I will surely get to know you even better!

The Cream of Brocoli Beer Soup sounds interesting! You must share. I love the picture of the pups and papa Duck! I am soooo excited that you have entered the blogging world. I will let everyone know on my blog to come visit you.

Blogging is a wonderful way to keep a "public" diary of your life, meet blogging friends all over the world and vent! You will do well. I loved reading your post today. You have a dry sense of humor. That is a good thing to have in this day and age.

    Keep on blogging....

BTW, thanks for your loving thoughts about me in your post. (((hugs)))
